This is it. This is the beginning. The first post. The first bridge-beat-blog post. Oh god, there is so much pressure to make this instance magnificent. But I will reassure you that it will be magnificent. Why? Because it is a special blog. That’s right, special. One may ask his/herself, “What makes this blog so special?” But I must say that I wish not to further explain. Must every qualifying adjective require some follow-up description?
That is a pretty car.
“Well what do you mean by ‘pretty’?”
You have an interesting face.
“Interesting how?”
You’re the kind of girl I would bring home to mom as a joke.
“Joke as in?”
Where does it end? It is a special blog. Just because. Since when did special things stop being special because we didn’t further elaborate on the specialty? Listen, you won’t be disappointed. The bridge will not fail you.
It’s an interesting place to be in… this blogging place. I’ve been here once before and I only remember the good things. I managed to forget all the hurt I had to go through to believe in the institution of blogging. I didn’t understand that you could be in a blogging relationship without the constant anxiety, worry and self-deprecation. I only did it because I loved the blog. And I thought it loved me. But this time is different. I’M different. I’m not scared anymore. I’ve started saying no to the rage that once consumed my words from before.
And it is here that I am at a crossroads. How does one blog without the rage? Oh sure, there’s still a little bit in me, but it’s not as pungent. Will people look at me differently? Like I cannot use words unless they come from a place of righteous mania? As you continue to be a loyal reader and downright fan of my beloved blog; know that I am stronger now. I didn’t go to rehab (which makes it a less savvy strength), but I’m stronger nonetheless. I love you, readers. Let us embrace and we embark on our journey down the bridge beat..en path.
