The Bridge Beat turns 2-years-old today! Yes, your gasps ring loud and clear because I too, can hardly believe it. April 30th, 2008, The Bridge Beat was resurrected to squelch this impenetrable thirst for wordsmithing that I was not smithing by not having this blog and so I started it (did you get all that?). I started with 2 readers and now have over 120 fans – oh, sorry Facebook – people who “like” this. Which really means I probably have a steady readership of about 5 people. Thank you, 5 readers. Your whimsical stumbles to this site to thwart the day’s boredom is much appreciated.
This news beat of the Bridge has been a colorful one. You’ve seen the big changes in my life, from my days as a bachelorette, through the engagement and onto a wedding. And while some of you appreciate less the larger life moments there were the smaller, more quirky and random thoughts. The more popular ones, according to google are: My Bitter Break-Up Letter, Facebook Observations and The Wedding Routine.
And the one I personally hear the most about, Time with Frank and Ada. (the hyperlink is to the very first one!)
To celebrate this momentous birthday, I am asking you to join me, readers. What is your favorite The Bridge Beat post?
This Is Where You Come In
1. Post a link of your favorite The Bridge Beat post as your Facebook status.
Those who do, will be entered into a raffle for a $20 gift card and a t-shirt. That’s right. (Who just wet themselves?)
2. Just so I know you did it, please leave a comment on this post that you did. I’ll make sure I include you in the raffle. From there, Sir Optimization will add your name to his random-winner-generating-algorithm to determine the winner.
Thank you for all of your support. Without you, The Bridge Beat would just be a silly little webpage.
Much Love,
The Bridge
